The flow technology of a FlussPool is derived from the flow channels or swimming channels for high-performance athletes. These high-performance systems can flow up to 2.5 m/s over 3.37 m2 of water and cost well over €4 million.
High-performance systems cannot be compared with conventional counter-current systems (such as Binder, Speck, Masterspa or Endlesspool). They describe a pool in which you fight against a resistance with a small cross-section (sometimes less than 0.14 m2) and try to swim evenly – but this is not possible because the turbulence in the water is far too high.
As a coach, I have been standing at my swimming channel in Horgen for many years and have already coached over 1,000 athletes. I can say something about the flow quality with a clear conscience, because I still swim every day myself and have already swum all the competitor products.
Please be careful if your pool salesperson wants to sell you a conventional counter-current system! Does he swim himself? Is he in good athletic shape?
